A parallel payment is apayment from a sender that is split directly among 2-6 receivers. Technically, a parallel payment is a set of multiple payments made in a single Pay request.

Parallel payments are useful in cases when a buyer intends to make a single payment for items from multiple sellers. Examples include the following scenarios: a single payment for multiple items from different merchants, such as a combination of items in your inventory and items that partners drop ship for you. Purchases of items related to an event, such as a trip that requires airfare, car rental, and a hotel booking.

In these cases, the sender knows the receivers and the amount paid to each one. The following example shows a sender paying 3 receivers in a single parallel payment.

You can view more information in:

https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/adaptive-payments/integration-guide/APIntro/

Note: This scenario is an example only and does not take PayPal fees into account.

This module adds a new payment method to your store that allows distributing commissions when the customer makes the payment through PayPal.

Parallel payments allow a buyer to pay various vendors into a single payment session showing the division of payment of commissions. Payment is made directly to the seller's PayPal account. Marketplace administrator also gets its share directly in your PayPal account.

A breakdown of the payment that transparently performs client vendors and MarketPlace appears in the Paypal payment gateway.

In the module configuration you must set the following parameters:

Sandbox

If this parameter is enabled, the payment gateway will be in testing mode.

PayPal API ID

In test mode (Sandbox enabled) is necessary to use the API ID: APP-80W284485P519543T

In real mode it is necessary to find in your PayPal account the App Live ID.

PayPal API Username

This parameter is located editing your Business account in the API Credentials tab.

PayPal API Password

This parameter is located editing your Business account in the API Credentials tab.

PayPal API Signature

This parameter is located editing your Business account in the API Credentials tab.

Paypal Email

This will be the email application administrator PayPal MarketPlace.

Before using this module you need to create a PayPal application for MarketPlace. On the next page setup PayPal may do so:

https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications/

All configuration parameters of the module can locate going to your PayPal account initially creating Sandbox accounts for testing on:

https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accounts/

In this link you can add accounts Sandbox for testing. Create an account representing the MarketPlace and one representing the buyer and seller.

When you have completed all relevant evidence and is satisfied it will be necessary to send a request to PayPal to make your application run in real mode (changing the module configuration identifier of the application to the App Live ID).

In the JA Marketplace module sellers can add your email PayPal to receive payments. This module considers this email for parallel commission payments.

It is the responsibility of the seller to add this email correctly so that the transaction is effected correctly.

Important: Adaptive Payments is now a limited release product. It is restricted to select partners for approved use cases and should not be used for new integrations without guidance from PayPal.

We are currently PayPal partners to carry out this type of implementations for JA Marketplace customers.
