Multistore Marketplace finally available in PrestaShop 8

The multi-store Markeptlace module was outdated several years ago and was only functional in PrestaShop 1.6.

In PrestaShop 1.7 and 8 there have been sudden changes that have caused the new version of this add-on to bring important changes.

These days we have gotten our act together and have been working to finish version 2.0.0, a major update compatible with PrestaShop 1.7 and especially with PrestaShop 8.

The author of the module is no longer Jose Aguilar, now JA Modules is the company responsible for its operation and maintenance.

The flows that identify the usability of the module have been greatly improved. When sellers are not under moderation, when creating a store they are redirected directly to the Backoffice so they can log in to their shop.

Access to create a seller account is no longer managed from the customer account. On a technical level, the dependency on the client object was removed.

Any user can create their seller account and manage their store without having to be a customer of the main marketplace store.

In the customer account you no longer add links to manage the store. Additionally, the seller account controller has been removed.

CSS and JavaScript files are now added in the displayHeader hook with the RegisterStylesheet and RegisterJavascript methods.

Added the SellerEmployee object or class to handle the data associated between employee and seller.

The installation process has been completely restored to meet the standards and requirements of new PrestaShop versions.

The link to create a shop is now more visible on the main marketplace page. Right next to the contact button and/or above the logo the link to create a shop appears.

The form page that allows you to create the store has completely changed. Now a wizard appears with 4 steps: store details, domain, design and access data.

The module configuration has also had important changes. Now only the general configuration parameters appear.

Seller management now appears in the side menu, just inside the SELL section. We have created a new controller to allow the administrator to manage sellers in a more logical way.

The marketplace sellers page that appears on the front of the main shop has been adapted to the new technology that was added in PrestaShop 1.7 and PrestaShop 8.

Added version 3 security check.

The licenses of the file headers were changed.

The module logo was updated for a more adapted option and in line with what it offers.

Password strengthening was included. Required for employees and customers on the latest version of PrestaShop.

If the seller profile is changed in the module settings, the profile is now changed for all sellers created previously.
