FEATURES

The classic PrestaShop theme aims to accelerate the registration process leaving the essential fields to create a customer account but, in some cases, it may be interesting that new customers, in the registration process are asked for the password twice.

In this way, you make sure that they have typed their password well and avoid having to recover it in the future.

This module adds a new field in the registration form to enter the password twice in order to confirm it.

If the user enters something in the "Password" field and something different in the "Confirm password" field, the user cannot register until the value of the password confirmation field is identical to the password.

And that's not all. Below the fields to enter the password a progress bar appears that measures the degree of security of the password so that the customer can become aware and he can add a more secure password if desired.

How is the level of security measured?

Through a percentage that will be displayed in progress bar format. 100% indicate that the password is 100% secure.

How are safety grades calculated?

If the password has numbers -> + 10%
If the password has letters -> + 10%
If the password has lowercase letters -> + 20%
If the password has uppercase letters -> + 20%
If the password has special characters -> + 20%
If the password exceeds 5 characters -> + 20%

In the customer account, in the personal data section also appears the field to confirm the password with its progress bar that measures the security level.

First of all, click “Add new module” at modules tab on back office. You will find it in the top right. After that, select packaged file you have downloaded from Addons Prestashop and click “Upload file”. Now your module appears on modules list. Click on “Install”, and “Configure” next.

You can also unload .zip file and upload it into your modules directory. In this way you will install and configure module from modules admin.
